Biography
Dr Abeda Khatun was graduated from Rajshahi Medical College in 1975. She had a long carrier in field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She started his carrier in Obs & Gynae in 1977 in Holyfamily Hospital, Dhaka and completed the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DGO) in 1983, from Riyadh Maternity and children hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The DGO course was organized by the Ministry of health, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia jointly with the University of London UK. After completion of DGO, she worked in Maternity and Children hospital which was one of the largest tertiary care center in Saudi Arabia, attaining average 24,000 delivery per annum. She was posted King Khaled hospital in 1985, Al Kharj and worked until 1989. It was a newly build 200 bed general hospital with 50 beds in Obs & Gynaecology department. In 1989 she joined Al Yamamah Maternity and Children Hospital, a 300 bedded hospital with very busy Obs & Gynae unit and attaining average delivery of 15000/Anum. In 1997 she moves to United Kingdom and joined Whipps Cross Hospital, London. In 2003 she passed the MRCOG(UK) and return to Riyadh and joined Al Obeid Specialized Hospital, Riyadh and working as senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist until 2021. She secure FRCOG in 2014 and FACOG in the same year. During her carrier she has expertise and had specialized training in the fields of Obs & Gynaecology as follows:
- IVF-ET with assisted fertility in King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Gynaecological and Obstetrical Ultrasound in Maternity and children Hospital, Riyadh, KSA.
- Advanced Laparoscopic surgery, Level-IV in animals, King Fahad National Guard Hospital, Riyadh, KSA.
- Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy Workshop, Military Hospital. Riyadh, KSA.
